Turks and Caicos Golf Team Triumphs at Casa de Campo – Again!

For the third consecutive year, the Turks and Caicos Golf Team has claimed victory at the 29th Annual Caribbean Golf Classic, bringing home the George Noon Cup after another unforgettable week of golf at the legendary Casa de Campo.

This year we travelled with a contingent of 48 players, plus an extra eight enthusiastic hanger-onners who simply came along to enjoy everything this world-class resort has to offer – from its stunning views to the unforgettable hospitality.

On the course, Turks and Caicos made a huge impact. Highlights included:

  • Andrea Todd, who topped the Ladies Competition with a superb Stableford score of 126.
  • Kurt Rivers, who dominated the Men’s First Flight, finishing with an outstanding 164 points—a massive 15 points ahead of the next closest competitor.
  • Jamie Gray, who secured victory in the Second Flight with an impressive 143 Stableford points.

Additionally, Dale Hodgkins, Simon Dobbs, Steven Kendrew and Mark Fulford all showcased impressive form.  Their individual successes were crucial to the teams overall victory.

It’s inspiring to see a wave of young talent and junior golfers coming up through the ranks, showing that the future of golf in Turks and Caicos is bright. Kurt Rivers and Jamie Gray are among these rising stars, and their passion and performance are a testament to the strength of our next generation.

For those who actively engage in the sport, there’s nothing quite like the energy, excitement and camaraderie of a golf tournament – especially one held at Casa de Campo. This is more than just a resort; it’s a premier global golf destination, home to some of the finest courses and tournaments in the world.

A heartfelt thank you to Sean Wilson, our Royal Turks and Caicos Golf Club Professional, for his outstanding effort in organising the trip, supporting our players and ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

As we look ahead, the Caribbean Golf Association and Casa de Campo are preparing to celebrate a major milestone in 2025: the 30th anniversary of the Caribbean Golf Classic. With plans to return to the place where it all began, next year’s event promises to be the biggest and best yet – with nothing spared to mark the occasion in true Caribbean style.
